The Phulra Health Centre is a key hospital in the work to assist Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
Pakistan has acted as a host country for Afghan nationals for more than two decades.
Most are families fleeing violence so that their sons and daughters can gain access to basic education and have a future with better opportunities.
In this context, facilities like the hospital in Phulra play a key role in ensuring the right to health in the region
With a weak public health system and very scarce resources, Pakistani hospitals struggle to cope and to provide for the needs of Afghan refugees and the local population. They need help.
Global Humanitaria has adopted the mission of improving conditions at the Phulra Health Centre, the beating heart of the city.
The main objective of this project is to ensure access to and the availability of a decent primary health service for both Afghan refugees and the local population. We will achieve this by renovating the hospital infrastructure and furnishing all its health units with essential medical and surgical equipment and supplies, as well as strengthening the capacities of health workers.
